Birthday candle in a jar of steamed mango chunks!
Today Daphne is 9 months old!
The time is flying by and as expected, we have only completed 3 or 4 pages of her baby book. But here are a few milestone updates of things that Kirstin has tried in vain to capture with video:
- Daphne claps her pudgy little hands (to no particular beat).
- She waves at us (on purpose now).
- She can feed herself with her dimpled paws (more and more food gets to the mouth all the time).
- She can crawl (yikes!)
- She has been seen pulling herself up to a stand once or twice (double yikes!!)
Add to all of this that electrical cords and plastic bags hold a very mysterious and exciting allure for Daph. Kirstin is busy worrying about "baby proofing" the house, while Jonathan is in denial. Threats of hiring a professional baby proofer seem to be the only way to snap him out of it. Whether he likes it or not, his little girl is growing up and moving on. And around, under, over and into!
